The Sac County Board of Supervisors met in regular session with all members present, Ranell Drake, Chairman, presiding. The minutes of the last meeting were approved as submitted.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve the agenda as posted. Ayes all, motion carried.
Scot McDonough, Sac County EMS Director, informed the Board that he had hired Justin Schulte as an EMT for the Lake View ambulance station. He will begin April 29, 2022.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve changes to the County Planning and Zoning ordinance as required by House File 2512 and House File 2477 as passed June 1, 2020. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve claims as submitted in order to avoid late penalties. Ayes all, motion carried.
Representatives from the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Brian Blomme, Sac County Drainage Engineer met with the Board to discuss a proposed wetland restoration project within the boundaries of DD 73 located in Section 4, Coon Valley Township.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to approve modifications to DD 73 by replacing a section of concrete tile with dual walled pvc plastic tile. Ayes all, motion carried. The cost of the tile replacement and all modifications to DD 73 will be paid by the NRCS.
The Board reviewed proposed changes to the County’s beaver bounty policy as defined by the Iowa DNR nuisance wildlife control policies. It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to direct the Drainage Engineer to develop the policy. Ayes all, motion carried.
The County Engineer updated the Board on activities of the county road crews and the status of current maintenance and construction projects.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to adopt Resolution 22-0425 allocating all of the County’s Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds in the expected amount of $1,888,190 as lost revenue to spend on government services. Ayes Wilhelm, Wissler and Drake; nays none, motion carried.
At 10:45 the Chairman opened the public hearing to consider the disposition of certain county property. there was no one present from the general public.
It was moved by Wilhelm and seconded by Wissler to close the public hearing. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wisler and seconded by Wilhelm to proceed with the sale of the county equipment at the discretion of the department heads. Ayes all, motion carried.
It was moved by Wissler and seconded by Wilhelm to approve the drainage claims as presented. Ayes all, motion carried.
With there being no further business, on motion, the meeting was adjourned.
